Danbury Football Star Finally Finds NFL Home, Starts for Seahawks
Back in June, former Danbury High Football standout Austin Calitro signed a contract with the Seattle Seahawks, and now it looks like he's officially found his home in the NFL.
After a incredible four years at Danbury High School, Austin Calitro became a collegiate sensation on the Villanova University football team. After graduation, he set his sights on the NFL, where he was shuffled between the 49ers, the Jets, the Browns, a tryout with the Philadelphia Eagles and finally, got signed by the Seattle Seahawks.
This season, Calitro not only made the Seahawks' roster, but he's now seeing lots of playing time and this week, he got his first NFL start at linebacker.
