Funeral Services Announced For CT State Trooper Killed on I-84
State Police announce the funeral services for one of their own. You may have seen the horrific news report last week about a State Trooper who lost his life when his police cruiser hit a tractor trailer on I-84.
Trooper First Class Kevin M. Miller was five months away from his 20th anniversary with the state police when the accident occurred last Thursday. His autopsy confirmed that he died from blunt trauma.
Pratt & Whitney Stadium at Rentschler Field will receive mourners on Thursday, April 5 from 2 to 4 pm and 5 to 8 pm at Pratt & Whitney Stadium at Rentschler Field, 615 Silver Lane in East Hartford. A funeral mass will be held at Pratt & Whitney Stadium on Friday morning at 11:00am.
When it happened, police closed I-84 between exits 68 and 69 in Tolland for over eight hours as they investigated the accident. Trooper First Class Miller was only 49-years-old and leaves a son and daughter.
