In an investigation that took over a month to solve, Wilton Police have arrested a 56-year-old-man who allegedly kept contacting an 11-year-old female in Wilton via the internet.

It all started back in September when Wilton Police received a call about an older man who allegedly kept trying to "groom" the juvenile victim in an attempt to obtain pornographic images of children.

Wilton Police conducted an investigation of the case, and it led them to Beverly, Massachusetts, the residence of the accused.

According to a Wilton Police Department press release, they then went to work with Beverly Police to obtain arrest warrants and search warrants. Then on October 17th members of the Wilton Police Department  traveled to Beverly, MA and served a search warrant at the home of the accused. Electronic evidence was seized and the suspect was arrested in Beverly, MA and charged as a Fugitive of Justice. He was extradited from Massachusetts to Connecticut on October 25th and charged.

Mark Crowley is now in custody and being held on $200,000 bond. He is scheduled to be arraigned at the Norwalk Superior Court.
