Police are investigating what they call an untimely death in Oxford, Connecticut.

News out of the waters of Lake Zoar and the Housatonic River, and a body that was discovered on June 1st. Hopefully the mystery is solved quickly to bring closure to the family of the unidentified person.

In a story from ctpost.com, police in Oxford are investigating what is being classified as an untimely death after a body was discovered in the water near Stevenson Dam Friday afternoon. Stevenson Dam runs over Lake Zoar and the Housatonic River and the roadway is part of route 34. State police Troop A responded to the dam to investigate.

State police spokesman Sgt. Eric Haglund told ctpost.com police were investigating

an untimely death after a deceased body was located on that property...

There is no criminal aspect to this investigation

The state medical examiner has been called in to determine the exact cause and manner of death. We'll update the story when more information becomes available.
