Do you need to see one more round of 'racing pigs'?

Well then you're in luck my friends because there are still four more good ole Connecticut country fairs coming up before the snow flies. Because Mindy and I have two grandchildren ages 4 and 1 1/2, we're always looking for fun excursions. Country fairs in Connecticut include:

160th Annual Guilford Fair - September 21, 22, and 23 at the Guilford Fairgrounds on Lover's Lane. For hours, activities, and admission pricing, click on ctvisit.com. Highlights include animals, vegetables, children's zoo, camel and pony rides, and live entertainment.

99th Annual Durham Fair - September - September 30 at the Durham Fairgrounds. Live entertainment includes rocker, Melissa Etheridge. Billed as Connecticut's largest agricultural fair, the Durham Fair features rides, games, animal competitions, talent show, and a beer and cider tasting. For a list of things to do, click on durhamfair.com.

162nd Annual Harwinton Fair - October 5 - October 7 at the Harwinton Fairgrounds 150 Locust Road. Activities include barrel racing, mini horse pulls, doodle bug competition, hay bale tossing, live country bands, and music for the little kids too.
