You can't beat a good ol' country fair. They're perfect for people watchin,' pig racin', livestock displays, barbecued chicken, and homemade corn dogs. Here's a listing of some of the legendary country fairs coming to Connecticut.

    Lebanon Country Fair

    August 9 - 11

    Since 1959, The Lebanon Lions Club has managed the Lebanon Country Fair. Non-profit organizations utilize the fair as a fundraiser, while you're having fun, you're also supporting worthy causes. You can enjoy a weekend of Adult and Kid Games, Bella the Clown, Horseshoe Tournament, Little Miss Lebanon, Demolition Derby, and Truck Pull.     Bridgewater Country Fair

    August 16 - 18
    This fair is known for their amazing food so make sure you bring your appetite. With a large variety of great food tents throughout the fairgrounds, with their famous roast beef sandwiches, slow-cooked chicken, fresh buttery corn, tacos, ice cream, fried dough, BBQ, fried Oreos and many more.     Hamburg Fair

    August 16 - 18

    Enjoy Milestone Midway carnival rides and games, Grange Hall coffee, grill and snack bar, food concessions, pony rides and more. As well as highlighting top local music talent and entertainment. Participate in the kid's games on Saturday 11am-1pm or come and watch the traditional horse and oxen pulls on Saturday and Sunday. This fair is located 1 Sterling City Rd, Old Lyme, CT 06371.

    Wolcott Country Fair

    August 16 - 18

    Starting in 1979, the Wolcott Country Fair is the area’s largest agricultural and family fun event of the summer. Farm exhibits, animal shows, petting zoo, pony rides, carnival rides, racing pigs, arts and crafts, live entertainment, fireworks display each night plus much more. Each night a different artist performs, Friday is Fun Night, Saturday is Blues Night and Sunday is 70’s Night. This fair is located at 245 Wolcott Road Wolcott, CT 06716.

    Brooklyn Fair

    August 22 - 25

    Being the Oldest continuously active agricultural fair in the United States, the Brookyln Fair pack full of fun with draft horses, livestock shows, home and garden exhibits, live entertainment, historical displays, special daily events, midway and great food.     Chester Fair

    August 23 - 25

    Major agricultural fair with livestock/animal shows and pulls, arts and crafts, baking contests, midway, children's games, musical entertainment and lots of food and fun. While having great entertainment each night, admission is 10 dollars, this fair offers military and senior citizen admission discount as well, Children under 12 get in for free. Located at Kirtland Terrace, off RT. 154, in Chester, CT.

    Terryville Lions Club Fair

    August 23 - 25

    Founded in 1948, the Terryville Lions Country Fair is the biggest fundraiser of the year for the Terryville Lions Club. This year, the Terryville Fair few new surprises, like ATV and dirt bike drag racing, Jeep and pickup truck tug-of-war competitions and side-by-side truck racing.     Haddam Neck Fair

    August 30 - September 2

    Haddam Neck Fair is celebrating its 104th year, they have been rated one of Connecticut's major agricultural fairs. This fair is known for its family-friendly atmosphere and beautiful environment. This fair is featuring baking contest, tractor pulling, horse show, road race, exhibits, family entertainment, midway, truck and tracker pulls.     Woodstock Fair

    August 30 - September 2

    The state's second-oldest agricultural fair featuring crafts, lots of food, livestock shows, petting zoo, free stage shows, midway, go-kart races. On Friday, from 1 p.m.-5 p.m.,Connecticut's Battle of the Bands will be held as a, musical tribute to the 50th anniversary of the Woodstock Music Festival.     Goshen Fair

    August 31- September 2

    The 107th Goshen Fair will feature Professional Truck Pulls; Soul Sound Revue; Apricot Brandy; James Montgomery Blues Band, with special guest Christine Ohlman; and Fireworks.     September 5 - 8

    Hebron Harvest Fair kicks off on September and end on the 8th. Rosaire's Royal Racers will be returning to the Hebron Harvest Fair this year.     North Haven Fair

    September 5-8

    Every year the North Haven Fair presents some of the greatest, farm animals, baking and entertainment in the state.     Wapping Fair

    September 5-8

    This year marks the 127th Wapping Fair, which starts on September 5 and ends the 8th. Admissions for Adults are$8.00 and Kids 57" and over.     September 6-8

    Bethlehem gates open on 8 am on September 6th, this fair includes livestock, agricultural exhibits, horse show, horse drawing, Antique Tractor Pully, farm displays, amusement rides, food, and entertainment. Saturday, September 7 on the main stage, “Bethlehem Fair's Got Talent” at 4 pm.

    Four Town Fair

    September 12-15

    This year is Four Town Fair 181st fair including events such as car show, parade, live entertainment, and doodlebug pull and much more.     Berlin Fair comes back for its 71st year. Run as by the Berlin Lions Club, 2019. Connecticut’s charitable organizations benefit from the money raised at the Berlin Fair.     The third weekend of September is always the host to a long-standing tradition in Guilford, which started as a Cattle Show in the fall of 1859, Now it has become one of the oldest agricultural institutions. that still enjoy the fairness of competition and the value of agricultural education.     September 26-29

    This year Durham Fair celebrates their 100 year. They have nationally-known country music performers, thousands of exhibits, lots of food and more.     October 4th starts the day of the 163rd Annual Harwington Fair.     The Big E is one of those events that has people around Connecticut and all of New England marking their calendars at the very beginning of the year. This year's extravaganza will take place between Sept. 13 and 29 and will feature a laundry list of new food items and locations.
