Police are searching for a man suspected of robbing a bank in our local area.

We received a press release from the Waterbury Police Department yesterday asking for our help in spreading the image you see above in the hope that someone out there recognizes this alleged bank robber.

According to Lieutenant David Silverio, WPD is investigating a robbery that happened last Thursday, September 5, at 3:41PM, at the TD Bank at 2 West Main Street, right at the corner by the Waterbury Green and the old Elton Hotel.

You can see in the photos provided, the suspect is a 5'7" black male, around 40 years old, wearing a black Under Armour hat and a long-sleeve camo shirt. The suspect passed along a note to the teller, saying that he was robbing the bank, and verbally demanded money.

The teller complied, and the suspect took off on foot, last seen walking North along North Main Street.
