A Hudson Valley man is accused of speeding through an active construction zone at 108 miles per hour.

On Sunday, the New York State Police from the Troop K Traffic Incident Management arrested a 20-year-old man from Southeast for reckless driving, a misdemeanor and two additional violations of the vehicle and traffic law.

The man was observed traveling 108 miles per hour in a marked and active construction zone with a posted speed limit of 55 miles an hour on Interstate 684 in the town of Bedford, police say.

A Trooper from the Troop K TIM detail conducted a traffic stop and issued tickets for reckless driving, speeding in a work zone, as well as two additional vehicle and traffic law violations.
