73-year-old UCONN Huskies legend, Jim Calhoun, is returning to coaching.

According to the News Times, He will be the men's basketball coach at University of St. Joseph in West Hartford. This is a division III school going into its first year in existence, as the school has never had a basketball team before. Calhoun had this to say:

Whether it’s Division I or Division III, the kids are the kids and the game is the game and I’m looking forward to getting back out on the court and teaching these young men each and every day. I really missed being a part of a team, and we’re preparing for a great first season at USJ.

Even at 73, Calhoun could have easily gotten back to basketball and had his choice of jobs at just about any Division I University. Why wouldn't you hire him? The man has 873 career victories and is a member of the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.

Instead, Jim Calhoun will coach a Division III team in West Hartford. This is a person who loves what he does. Jim Calhoun loves basketball. No Question.
