About a week and a half after a couple of Good Samaritans came to the aid of an injured bald eagle on Rt 9 in Berlin, that eagle is doing great and has been released into the wild.

According to NBC Connecticut, a man named Merle McKenzie spotted the bird on April 5th while driving on Rt 9, and stopped to help. He and another woman wrapped up the bird and brought it to Kensington Animal Hospital. The eagle was found to have a scratch on its eye but no broken bones.

After several days of rehabilitation, the bird, which the Kensington staff named "Grace," was released. Great job by Merle and the staff at Kensington Animal Hospital.
