A Monday evening blaze caused a ton of congestion on Interstate 84 in Danbury, but thankfully, no one was injured.

According to the Connecticut State Police, the fire was caused by an accident that occurred on the local highway on Monday, December 9, which was reported at around 6:34 PM.

As a CT State Trooper's dashcam footage shows, the car was fully engulfed in flames just before the Lake Avenue exit.

While no injuries were reported, the Connecticut State Police Recruitement & Selections Facebook account offered up a warning upon posting the footage: "Never go near or try to pass a vehicle on fire. It is not worth risking your life to get home a little sooner!"
