It appears as though we may be in for a rough evening around here, as a flash flood watch as well as a hazardous weather outlook have been issued for Greater Danbury and Putnam County.

According to the National Weather Service, the potential for severe weather, including  very heavy wind gusts, intense thunderstorms and flash flooding would be the result of the "remnants of Tropical Storm Barry" moving through our area.

The reports predict that rainfall totals throughout Fairfield County, Southern New Haven County, Westchester County and Putnam County could reach up to two inches, with rates of one inch per hour.

As the warmest week of the season so far continues, we will see temperatures ranging from the mid-90s to around 100 degrees with heat index values that can potentially reach between 105 and 110 degrees.
