Hawks are such majestic, magnificent birds, but I wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of those talons. It seems that some hawks in Connecticut are on sneak and attack mode. Here's what you need to watch out for:

In a posting on the Facebook page for the Fairfield Connecticut Police Department, comes this warning about hawks attacking residents:

Honestly, I'm always in awe when I see hawks soaring overhead or perched on a lamp post. But these attacks come out of nowhere, and you have to believe the hawks are in protecting mode. Police say the birds fly in covertly behind a person before attacking their head.

If you find yourself in the area of the hawk sightings and you see activity you can call Animal Control at 203-254-4857.

If you need to report a hawk attack, please contact the Fairfield Police Department at 203-254-4800.
