Now I've heard of this happening, but being the father of three, I just can't imagine how someone can go through a full pregnancy and not know they were expecting. Well it's happened in Stamford — a woman says she had no idea she was pregnant until she went into labor.

According to News 12 Connecticut, Farah Hage-Sleiman and her fiance, Derek Roy, are now the proud parents to a baby boy, and it came as a complete surprise to both of them.

Farah thought she was experiencing stomach cramps when her water broke while at the gym. A visit to the local Emergency Room revealed she was 36 weeks pregnant and about to have the baby right then and there.

After the birth, Farah told News 12 Connecticut that she had experienced some symptoms like a little weight gain, some stomach problems, swollen feet, skin rashes, and was very emotional, but she just thought it was due to stress since she was planning her wedding, buying a new house, and starting a new job. She also saw doctors who treated her symptoms, but never thought she might be pregnant. Plus she was also taking birth control pills, so being pregnant was the least of her concerns.

Now as I said earlier, I can't imagine this happening to someone, especially since I went through three different pregnancies with my wife. I spoke to a friend who is also a Danbury OB Nurse and she had this to say:

It's possible, but in this day and age, it's less likely than ever. Most of those that we see are in denial, they say there's nothing wrong with me and blame it on weight gain, or they are a bit overweight to begin with. With all the technology we have at our disposal it would be almost impossible, especially when that baby starts kicking
