Some legislators continue to push hard for marijuana legalization in Connecticut. Here's the latest.

The debate about legalization in our state continues to rage on. Back in April of last year the bill to legalize in Connecticut fell by the way side when it didn't get on the agenda.

Fast forward to March 15th, 2018 and the newest rally cry for legalized recreational use will happen today according to nbcconnecticut.com Once again the legislature's General Law Committee is holding a public hearing on a bill that would legalize retail sale and use of marijuana.

On the table for discussion at the hearing is allowing  residents to use it in a lounge and grow up to six marijuana plants for personal use. Also to be discussed is letting anyone over the age of 21 to buy marijuana from a retailer.

What I know is that our current Governor is not in favor of legalization, but I also know that many in favor talk about the monetary boost in revenue to the state. I can't imagine our fiscal woes ending any time soon. Will it be just a matter of time before legalization of recreational marijuana becomes a reality in Connecticut?
