Demolition is about to take place at the future location of the family owned Wegmans Supermarket. One of the newest stores the chain has in the works is in Harrison in Westchester County.

A demolition permit was granted in the early days of 2018, but the building permit is has not yet been filed. Assuming the building permit is being prepared, demolition can take place and following that, site evaluations will happen according to LoHud.comWegmans originally inked a purchase agreement for the land about a year and a half ago.

Normandy Real Estate Partners facilitated the deal clearing the way for a 125,000-square-foot grocery retailer. The official final clearance came for the company in August when the Harrison Town/Village Board put their seal of approval on things.

The new store will be located at 106-110 Corporate Park Drive, off Interstate 287. Right now there are offices on the complex, which will be demolished to make way for new building.
