A school bus crash in Somers, New York has resulted in students sustaining some minor injuries Friday (April 20).

This morning at around 7:25 am, one of Yonkers’ TLC school transportation buses as well as another vehicle were engaged in an accident, which closed down route 139, which is sometimes referred to as Plum Brook Road, in Somers. According to Lohud. That section of the roadway was shut down for about an hour, as traffic was re-routed following the road's reopening at around 8:25 am.

TLC Transportation Corporation on Riverdale Avenue is a private school bus transportation contractor for Westchester County, in Yonkers.

The students on the bus were not from Somers Central School District, but the bus was traveling through Somers. New York State police reported that some of the students on the bus walked away with minor injuries, and gave no further information regarding their injuries or the driver of the other automobile involved in the accident.
