Well, isn’t this gruesome? A UCONN doctor who allegedly beat her 84-year-old husband to death, may have hid the body in their home for months.

According to a story from WFSB.com, Pierluigi Bigazzi was a professor of laboratory science and pathology. He and his wife, 70-year-old Dr. Linda Kosuda-Bigazzi, worked together at The University of Connecticut Medical School. Neighbors and colleagues alerted police when they became concerned that they hadn't seen Bigazzi since last summer. On February 5, 2018, police went to the home that the couple shared for a welfare check. That’s where police say they found Bigazzi’s body wrapped up.

CBSnews.com reports that an examination by the state medical examiner found the cause of death to be caused by blunt trauma to the head.

According to the article, police feel that alimony checks written to Bigazzi's ex-wife, Anna Bigazzi, may be forged and have asked her to provide copies.

Kosuda-Bigazzi is being held on $1.5 million bail.
