Keep it in your pants, buddy. Nobody is interested in your junk.

Every day, I shake my head and wonder what the hell is wrong with people. This is one of those stories that "takes the cake".

In an account from the NewsTimes, there's a man who's been, according to authorities, exposing himself to waitresses around Connecticut for over ten years. He's finally going to trial today on public indecency charges.

Police say 46-year-old Jose Luis Rodriguez exposed himself to a waitress at the Blue Colony Diner in Newtown in September 2006 and was charged with public indecency and breach of peace.

It seems that back in 2009, prosecutors were ready for trial, but Rodriguez was a no-show in court. He was in the wind until he got nabbed for a traffic stop in 2015. That's when, as the story says, Connecticut State Police found he was still wanted on the earlier charge.

"Flashing" appears to be an ongoing thing for Rodriguez. The News Times reports that according to court docs, he's pulled it out more than once"

  • May 2006 -- police said he exposed himself to a waitress at a truck stop in Southington.
  • March 2005 -- accused of exposing himself to both a bartender and a waitress at the Rain Forest Cafe, which was open in the Westfarms Mall in New Britain at the time.
  • June 2009 -- Exposed himself as at Denny’s restaurant in Southington

Rodriguez was found guilty of second-degree breach of peace for the Southington truck stop exposing back in 2006, and was given a six-month suspended prison sentence. He was free on a $20,000 bond, and is expected to appear in Superior Court in Danbury today.

Hopefully, he doesn't flee again. It's time to get this man off the streets and get him help if need be, before he escalates.
