A Florida man was non too pleased with a form sent home from school with his niece.

According to FOX 5 Atlanta, the form said:

I understand my rights as a parent and I request that my child, noted above, be excused from reciting the Pledge of Allegiance. This request includes standing and placing his/her right hand over his/her heart.

The article says girl's mother wrote on the waiver:

This is the dumbest thing I have ever read and I am so ashamed of this.

The girl's uncle, Micah Brienen, then posted the form complete with his sister-in-law's reaction on social media, and the story went viral.

This is downright scary, and I hope this is not true. The article makes no mention of the name or location of the school, nor does the form. That leads me to believe there is a possibility that this is not real, and that someone just wanted to stir things up on social media. If it is true however we all need to be very concerned.

No one in this country - especially lately - can seem to agree on anything, but we SHOULD be unified against nonsense like this. If we want to make America great again or keep America great, then garbage like this needs to be shut down right away. The mom was right. We should all be ashamed.
