Students of Ridgefield High School have been dismissed early after the report of a bomb threat.

According the Ridgefield Press, a hand-written note reportedly containing a bomb threat toward the school was found early Friday morning (January 18). The report says that a parent contacted the Ridgefield publication to let them know that the written threat was found inside of one of the girls' restrooms.

School officials have made it clear that there is absolutely no immediately danger to any students or staff, but out of precaution, the students were dismissed at 10:45 AM.

Police say that they responded immediately and are currently investigating the situation along side the Connecticut State Police.
