Maybe you're new to town, or you just can't remember your week for this great freebie. I've got you covered.

Danbury is looking to clean up. Streets, waterways and more. To that end I covered the upcoming Danbury Clean City initiative which is Saturday May 6.

In addition to that, Danbury's FREE leaf pick up service got underway on April 17 and runs through May 26. Winter is behind us, Spring is here, and those damn leaves are still lingering around your yard. Cleaning them all up is enough of a pain, but who needs the added hassle of trying to dispose of them? Danbury to the rescue.

The release from danbury-ct.gov says that only leaves in paper leaf bags left at the curbside will be picked up by the Highway Department.

The release adds that you shouldn't tape the bags and don't use plastic bags
