A local man is accused of trying to sell lawn equipment that he reported stolen.

On Friday, New York State Police from Brewster arrested Ryan Sanabria, 28, of Southeast for grand larceny and criminal possession of stolen property, both class E felonies, and falsely reporting an incident, a class A misdemeanor.

In October of 2017, Sanabria reported delivered lawn equipment as stolen. The delivery company paid Sanabria for a total loss in the amount of $2,400, according to police.

Months later the stolen items were found listed for sale online. An investigation determined the seller was Sanabria selling his previously reported stolen property, police say.

Sanabria was issued an appearance ticket returnable to the town of Southeast Court on June 7.
