Thank goodness there were only minor injuries when a plane crashed just by Robertson Field Airport in the town of Plainville, Connecticut.

It happened at 11:25 am yesterday (September 11) according to Fox News 61. Robertson Airport on 62 Johnson Avenue is often referred to as the "Crossroads of Connecticut" and is the oldest airfield in Connecticut. The plane was a 1981 single engine Cessna 172 model that actually crashed right into trees in the parking lot of Carling Technologies nearby. The plane owned by Interstate Aviation Incorporated was piloted by Manfred Forst who was sent to the Hospital of Central Connecticut with no major injuries and has since been released.

The Cessna 172 is a very similar model to each of the recent plane crashes in both New Milford and Danbury.

Fox News says there is word that there was a small fuel leak, but are not sure if it was the official cause of the crash. All are thankful that there were no major injuries and no bystanders involved.
