New Milford Comes Together in the Face of Tragedy

The New Milford Police do amazing work. We count on our local police everyday, and now it's time to do what we can to help one of the officers and his family in the wake of a terrible tragedy. 

On January 25 of this year, Officer Robert Tozzi of the New Milford Police Department lost his 28 year old daughter Stephanie to a car accident. He was actually the officer that was dispatched to the scene. His 4 year old granddaughter Sofia amazingly survived the wreck.  Stephanie leaves behind her daughter Sofia Turco, 4 years-old and her son Gianni Turco, 2 years-old. The New Milford community is now coming together for a fundraiser to benefit the family.

There will be food, DJ, raffle prizes, 50/50 and a cash bar.  All proceeds will be donated to the Turco Children's Fund. 

I received this information to a listener of the Ethan and Lou show by the name of Dave Dubord Jr.  He and many others will gather together to do what they can to help this family through a very difficult time.  I cannot not imagine the grief that this family is dealing with and what Officer Tozzi is going through. I can only send my thoughts and prayers to Stephanie's two children, the Tozzi family, the Turco family and the New Milford Police Department.
