WOAH! Calm down Mother Nature!

What the heck is going on? Do we live in the tropics? If so, someone please bring on the drinks with those little umbrellas in them.

It sort of goes like this: one minute it's a beautiful, yet hot and humid, summer day. Without warning, you can actually see the line of rain approaching. The skies turn an ominous shade of dark grey, thunder rumbles and a torrential downpour engulfs the area for about ten minutes. Then...the sky not only clears, it becomes this vivid shade of blue and, once again, it's a beautiful summer day.

The National Weather Service says that you can expect the same tropical type weather insanity for the next few days:

Friday Afternoon: Get ready for another round of cocktail-friendly precipitation.

Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly after noon. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 83. Southwest wind 6 to 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Friday Night: Don't throw your limes away, you will need them after 1 am.

A chance of showers and thunderstorms, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 1am. Some of the storms could produce heavy rain. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 72. South wind 5 to 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Saturday: Were you thinking of trying a new Margherita recipe? Now's a good time.

Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm before 2pm, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2pm. Some of the storms could produce heavy rain. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 80. South wind 5 to 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.

Saturday Night: Pina Coladas for everyone!

Sunday: Looks like we can put our tropical rain gear away. But keep your hollowed out coconuts closeby, you will need them on Tuesday and Wednesday.
