If you're a Metro-North Commuter on the Harlem Line, your commute just got a little more fun. From now through Sunday you may have a bus ride in your future.

Metro North will be doing rail work in a few different places between now and Sunday, and that means that riders at certain stations will have to use buses and be transported between rail stops.

According to patch.com the rail improvements will be happening between the Southeast and Wassaic stations and between Tremont and Melrose.

Metro-North crews will be working on the Upper Harlem Line now through Sunday night. Some of the improvements that will be under repair will be fixing the River Road grade crossing in Pawling and replacing the crossing surface, which will include rails and ties. Also along the line crews will be cutting back trees and bushes, and they will be also repairing certain rails.

All the fun starts today when buses will substitute for certain trains until 4:30 PM between Southeast and Wassaic.

The buses will make all scheduled stops at the following stations: Tenmile River, Dover Plains, Harlem Valley-Wingdale, Pawling and Patterson. Bus service will operate 15-30 minutes earlier than normally scheduled trains. This added bus service will be for trains running in both directions, Northbound and Southbound.

On Friday after 10 PM, bus service will be set up for all trains operating between Southeast and Wassaic in both directions. This bus service will be in effect all weekend for all Metro North Harlem Line commuters heading to or returning from Grand Central.

So get ready to take the "train to the bus" for the next few days. Full service will resume with the first scheduled trains on the line this Monday July 24.
