There's hopping down the bunny trail, and then there's the local, annual, Frog Frolic in Redding Connecticut.

Who doesn't love great community events? This one offers up a lot of fun for you and your kids, and also offers up a great volunteer opportunity too.

There's a wonderful spot in Redding Connecticut, located on 439 Redding Road, and it's the Mark Twain Library. Plans are underway for one of the library's biggest fundraisers, this years 23rd annual Frog Frolic. The event is Saturday, April 28th from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Redding Community Center on 37 Lonetown Road.

Open to the public, with free admission, the Frog Frolic boasts games, bounce houses, a bubble garden, make your own crafts area, touch - a - truck and more. Food is available and there will be a Silent Auction Tent too.

Aside from heading out to enjoy this family fund day, here's what you can also do to lend a hand. As you can imagine an event like this needs volunteers. As a matter of fact the Mark Twain Library is seeking 200 volunteers for its annual Frog Frolic. There are shifts available from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m.m and to register to volunteer go to Frog Frolic Volunteer Sign Up Form found at marktwainlibrary.org

The event also has a tasty side to it with the 10th Annual Cake walk. This year,
Alice in Wonderland’s “Happy Unbirthday to You” is the chosen theme. All bakers are encouraged to enter because there is both an adult and junior divisions. Interested? Click on Bake - A - Cake for information and to enter.

Don't forget to mark your calendar for April 28th and the 23rd annual Frog Frolic in Redding, Connecticut.
