This Saturday, the "Love Wins!" benefit concert, which is a celebration of music to support the Ana Márquez-Greene Scholarship Fund, will be held at 8 p.m. at Western Connecticut State University.

It's every parents nightmare, losing a child, and for the parents of those 20 Sandy Hook Elementary School students who were taken from us on December 14th, 2012, this time of year has to be very difficult.

One parent has vowed to make a difference through his music. His name is Jimmy Greene and he's considered one of the most respected saxophonists of his generation. He's also the co-coordinator of Jazz Studies and Associate Professor of Music at WCSU. Jimmy also lost his daughter Ana during the shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School that tragic December morning.

Since then, Jimmy has been a major proponent in the "Love Wins!" movement. His album Beautiful Life, is a celebration of the life of his 6-year-old daughter. The album garnered two Grammy nominations in 2015: one for Best Jazz Instrumental Album and the other for Best Arrangement, Instruments and Vocals for Greene's arrangement of his composition "When I Come Home," featuring vocalist Javier Colon.

According to patch.com, the event is being hosted by the Western Connecticut State University Music Department. All ticket sales and donations will go to the Ana Grace Marquez-Greene Music Scholarship Fund. The fund helps provides a memorial music scholarship for incoming freshmen at WCSU.

Jimmy Greene spoke to patch.com, and talked about Ana and the concert,

Ana was a joyful, musical child and full of life. This scholarship is one of the ways we remember her — it helps young musicians who want to study at Western. Ana's mom and brother and I look forward to the concert every year.

Here's a tribute done in 2013 by Harry Connick Jr. featuring Jimmy Greene on Sax.

This event is being hosted by the WCSU Department of Music.
