What a storm, and what a mess. In just about a half hour on Tuesday afternoon, a good portion of the local landscape was destroyed. Trees and power lines down, plus lots of property damage.

We got a pretty good idea of how most of you were affected, thanks to all the photos you sent in. We really appreciate it, as you are our eyes and ears in the local area, and you help so many others by sharing your information.

Many towns were devastated by the storm. Brookfield First Selectman Stephen Dunn has declared the town a disaster, and Governor Dannel Malloy will be visiting Brookfield today (May 16) to assess storm damage.
