According to the Washington Post, Kid Rock is running for Senate. He launched his official campaign website, kidrockforsenate.com, yesterday.

This may be where we are now. Americans from here forward may only vote for their favorite actors, musicians, and reality TV stars. If that is the case, then I'm all in on the Kid. I don't know much about his politics other than he is a conservative Republican.

I do know the guy can throw a party, and has conquered the rap, rock and country music worlds. I know he can play every instrument that a person can put on a stage -- I have seen it. I know that when he takes the stage, chicks take their clothes off. I know he's not afraid to speak his mind. These are the things I know, and that's enough for me at this point. My new philosophy on politics is 'F' it, let's see what happens.

The home page at kidrockforsenate.com features a picture of him sitting in a star-spangled chair, wearing his signature hat, sunglasses and leather jacket. He's also joined in the photo by an enormous fake buck. Further down the page, it says "Are you scared?" You can also purchase Kid Rock for Senate t-shirts and trucker hats right from the home page.
