Hand Grenade Found at Waste Management Company in CT
I am sure that a lot of things get thrown away that are not meant to be part of regular trash. I am not talking about recyclables, I am actually talking about something that is not only an antique, but something that could have caused a lot of harm and destruction.
Stratford Police were probably as shocked as a Connecticut Waste Management company when they got the call that employees had found what could be a grenade.
According to Ctpost.com, Capt. Frank Eannotti of the Stratford Police Department said the device appeared to be a hand grenade from World War I or World War II. The State Police Bomb Squad were alerted and arrived at the scene of responded to a report of what appeared to be a hand grenade at All American Waste located at 80 Grafield Avenue in Stratford.
Thankfully, the Bomb Squad was able to quickly disarmed the bomb and took it away. There were no reports of injuries.
