There's not a player or coach involved in sports who doesn't dream of one day being inducted into the Hall of Fame. Well, that dream has become a reality for six Connecticut individuals in the wrestling world, including a former New Milford Wrestling coach.

Patrick Burns, former New Milford High coach, an also a wrestling official and CIAC wrestling committee member got the call from the Connecticut chapter of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame.

According to patch.com, Burns from New Milford will be joined by coaches from Trumbull High, Norwalk High, Fairfield Warde, and Bristol Central High School.

The actual awards dinner and induction ceremony will take place on Saturday, May 4, 2019 at the MGM Hotel at Foxwoods.

All six men will be enshrined in the National Wrestling Hall of Fame in Stillwater, Oklahoma, and receive an embossed name plaque, plus their own personal plaque and jacket to commemorate their induction. They also join 38 other past inductees in the Connecticut chapter of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame.
