The man who owns three eateries in Fairfield County appeared on the Food Network’s television show Chopped the other night, and walked away a winner, reports the News Times.

Matt Storch was a fierce competitor on the “Sensational Sandwiches” episode after admitting that he was "really nervous, sweating, and uncertain that he could finish the competition". The episode was actually filmed months ago, and on Tuesday night April 24th at 10 pm, it had finally aired, and his win was witnessed by the world.

Matt is no newcomer to the industry. He’s a chef and partner at Match in Norwalk, Nom-Eez in Bridgeport, and Match Burger Lobster in Westport. He was asked to present a three-part sandwich challenge with an appetizer, a main course, and a dessert. With all his knowledge of various cuisines and techniques, he pulled it out, and has put his Fairfield restaurants on the world’s radar. Superb job Matt! Below is a video showing off his amazing skills, give it a view.
