The city of Danbury has scheduled this years Memorial Day Parade.

The Danbury Council of Veterans presents their Memorial Day Parade on Monday, May 30. The parade will be stepping off at Kennedy Park, and continues to Rogers Park. Not only is a parade scheduled, but there are a days worth of events going on as well.

The day starts at 6:30 AM with a memorial service at St. Joseph Church, which will be followed by Placing of The Wreaths at 7:10 AM. Mr. Aurel J. Haitsch JR, of the Korean War Veterans Association, is this year's honorary Grand Marshall. Several Danbury officials will be on hand, as well as the main speaker for the day, Past Commander Department of CT VFW, Alfread Meek.
