Danbury Man Set to Do Time After Overdose Kills Woman

A sentence of thirty months in federal prison was handed down to a Danbury resident who was found guilty of distributing heroin after a woman was found dead from an overdose last year.

As reported by patch.com, 32-year-old “Yoshi” Jose Charon pleaded guilty to distributing heroine after an investigation which began last spring. According to the Chief Medical Examiner, a woman was found dead from an overdose of methadone and benzodiazepine on April 9, 2017. The U.S. Attorney District of Connecticut reported that the case examination conducted by Danbury Police, uncovered three cellphones, a bottle of methadone and an empty bag which tested positive for traces of heroin.

In a sting operation, undercover police bought several bags of illegal drugs from Charon. Some of the bags had the same marked brand stamp found at the victim’s home.

On September 12, 2017, Danbury Police placed Charon under arrest. He has been in jail since he was arrested.
