I'll bet you didn't know that there is a town in Texas named Danbury.

It's a small town of just over 1,700 people, about 50 miles south of Houston, and like many towns and cities in that area, it's been hit hard by Hurricane Harvey.

Residents of the Hat City are coming together to help their sister city recover from Harvey's storm damage. According to a flyer published by Mayor Mark Boughton on Twitter, Danbury TX needs:

  • Non-perishable food items
  • Bottled Water
  • Hygiene Products
  • Pet Food
  • Baby Items such as diapers and food
thefacts.com, reports that about 100 of the Texas town's 700 houses were flooded, and that the townspeople appreciate the help from their sister city.
