You might actually be a winner, even though you've been told otherwise.

Mobile apps are a marvelous thing, but sometimes marvelous things can go haywire. That's what happened over a few days with the CT Lottery Mobile App.

The feature on the CT Lottery app scans the bar code on the ticket to determine if your ticket is a winner or not. But you may have scanned it recently, only to be told no, when it might be, yes, you are a winner.

The website ctlottery.org posted this information:

The CT Lottery Mobile App “Scan Tickets” feature operated incorrectly beginning Saturday, August 12, 2017, 12:25 PM through Monday, August 14, 2017, 10:34 AM, for draw tickets only. Some winning draw tickets scanned incorrectly as “non-winning” tickets. Instant ticket scanning during that time period was not affected.

If you scanned draw tickets during that time, please check your tickets again. The Mobile App “Scan Tickets” feature is now fully operational. You can also check CT Lottery tickets at a Ticket Checker available at all CT Lottery Retailers.

Hopefully, you still have that ticket in your hand, because it just might be a winner after all.

You can of course call the CT Lottery Headquarters in Rocky Hill with any questions at (860) 713-2700.
