Do you feel they should leave these poor dogs alone, or do you believe they should be bred to run like the wind?

The history surrounding Greyhound racing is long and controversial to say the least. The first commercial track was built in 1919, and you can read about the decades of this particular "sport" in a very in depth report published by grey2kusa.org

There are currently no greyhound racing tracks in Connecticut. But grey2kusa.org states that Connecticut is one of four states in the country that a prohibitory statute has yet to be enacted. Looks like that change could come soon.

According to cga.ct.gov a legislative effort is underway to make sure they never return.

The legislature's Public Safety Committee has raised a bill that would ban dog racing in Connecticut.

Personally I hope it's a bill that sticks.
