It seems that every time we get hit with some measurable "unexpected" snow, the meteorologists say, "Weather forecasting is not an exact science," which is exactly what happened when snow started to fall around 4am this past Friday, February 5.

So, what's up with the rumblings I'm hearing of a possible "snow event" heading our way? I've been checking in with a handful of meteorologists to find out about their predictions for snow early this week.

The Weather of Steve Turk - This is the guy who gets it right most of the time. He did predict this past Friday's mini-storm. He's also cautious and doesn't make quick predictions unless he has the data to back it up. As of 3:15pm on Saturday February 6, his prediction for early this week is, "We shall see, easy does it."

National Weather Service - A slight chance of snow Sunday night with a 60% chance of snow on Monday with possibly 1/2 to 1" of accumulation. Monday night, a possibility of 2 to 4" of accumulation and a 60% chance of snow on Tuesday.

Weather Underground- Sunny and 46 on Sunday and cloudy and 26 on Sunday night. Snow showers a possibility Monday through Wednesday with total accumulations an inch or less.

CT Weather - Meteorologist, Bill Jacquemin is calling for light snow on Monday, more snow on Tuesday, and snow and snow showers on Wednesday. CT Weather usually doesn't give accumulation figures.

As I finish this blog as of 4:06pm on Saturday, February 6, it appears to be a crap shoot on how much snow our area will actually get this coming week. But if it gets messy, check school delays and cancellations at  i95rock.com.
